Mortal Kombat X esports competitions announced

Today Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced expansions to Mortal Kombat X esports. The new competition will start in April and encompasses the ESL Mortal Kombat X Pro League Season 3, the ESL Challenger Cup and the official sponsorships of local tournaments in North-America and Europe. The prize money for this competition is $500,000 USD.

The 3rd season of the ESL Mortal Kombat X Pro League will start on the 3rd of April. During the 8 weeks the best players on the planet will take each other on online. 16 finalists from North-America, Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States and Latin-America will be coming together on the 12th of June in Burbank, California to take each other on for the prize money of $ 200.000 USD.

The ESL Mortal Kombat X Challenger Cup starts on the 2nd of April and will give PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players, who didn’t get the opportunity to partake in the ESL Pro League, a new way to battle online for money and other prizes. Until the end of June there will be weekly open tournaments in North-America, Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States and Latin-America.
