Super Catboy releases later this month
Super Catboy is the newest game by Developer Pixelpogo and Publisher Assemble that just got announced for a release on July 24th. Take on the role of Catboy, the feline protagonist of this story, and take a trip down memory lane through a ’90s-inspired run-and-gun adventure platformer. Together with your sidekick Weapongirl, you’ll face the army of evil anthropomorphic dogs led by Dr. Ungefug.
The game features a nostalgic pixel style to give a modern spin to the classics like Mega Man X and Donkey Kong Country. The 16-bit soundtrack helps elevate the atmosphere. This is further delivered through a combination of platform, run-n-gun, and beat ‘em-up gameplay that will have you feeling like a kid again. Jumping, running, and dashing have never felt so fun. But you won’t face these retro threats alone, Catboy has access to a plethora of weapons and gadgets that will help you fight through the collection of unique levels and biomes.
