Myths aren’t what they seem to be in Axtelera Ray: The Chronicles of Astrone

Axtelera Ray: The Chronicles of Astrone will be the first chapter in what would be a six part superhero-fantasy series called Extelera Ray:The Rise Of Astrone, from which the full version of the first book is due to release somewhere in 2018. The series is written by M.J.Gallagher and created by Alroy Jovi(creator of Extelera Ray fantasy series).

The first book of The Chronicles of Astrone is a story largely told through the eyes of two teenagers who come into the possession of strange crystals. At the same time, they find themselves in a parallel otherworld where supernatural abilities are commonplace. The pair discover that what we would call mythology is really just the history of this advanced civilization. The famous gods such as Thor, Zeus or Osiris were actually heroes from this advanced civilization’s past. As for the story, it’s an adventure fraught with danger and twists, whose protagonists are destined to uncover complex conspiracies and bring peace back to the realms, acquiring extraordinary powers along the way. The Chronicles of Astrone draws its inspiration heavily from Norse, Saxon, Egyptian, Slavic, Celtic, Greek, Roman, Chinese and Native American legends and mthylogies in order to fashion a unique tale.

Being over 30 years old, I've been playing videogames since I've exchanged my pacifier for a game controller. I've only recently started reviewing games and it's incredibly fun to do and educational as I get to know a lot of new stuff about videogames and the industry. My favourite game genres are RPG's(strategy RPG, J-RPG,...), adventure, platforming, simulation and retro.
