New game announcement: Assetto Corsa

505 Games announced today that they will be engaging in a partnership with Italian developer Kunos Simulazioni to publish the current generation console version of Assetto Corsa, the highly acclaimed racing game. In the development of Assetto Corsa, there will be a big focus on pure physics realism, with precision accuracy across every aspect from the car handling to the laser-measured tracks.

The most important aspect of the game, are of course its cars. Assetto Corsa has partnered with the most prestigious automotive manufacturers to license life-like models of different cars. From Ferrari to Fiat, from McLaren to Mercedes-Benz, and Automobili Lamborghini to Lotus Cars.

Players will be able to further deepen their playing experience by adjusting the handling and race set-up of each and every car in-game. Cars can also be individually tuned to the player’s personal racing style. The overall experience can be further modified by adjusting everything from driver attributes to collision damage, to deliver a true racing experience.

Assetto Corsa will feature:

  • Over 100 high-performance cars, including the Team Lotus 98T, the Pagani Zonda R, the Ferrari LaFerrari, the Mercedes C9 and the McLaren 650S GT3.
  • Over 20 different track configurations, including famed courses such as Silverstone Circuit, Circuit de Spa-Francochamps, AutoDromo Nazionale Monza and Nürburgring-Nordschleife.
  • Single and Multiplayer racing models, with customizable Race Weekends, Challenges or full-scale Career Mode.
  • Refined race-craft AI, with up to 24 cars competing for the podium places in the PC version of the game.

Assetto Corsa will be making its E3 debut this year showcasing brand new PC content and will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2016.
