New location for Hitman 3 revealed
As Hitman 3’s release date is drawing closer, IO Interactive and Square Enix are slowly but surely revealing more details about the upcoming title. The latest bit of information provides details a brand new location that Agent 47 will visit in the game. Players will soon be able to explore the neon-lit streets of Chongqing, China. Filled with stores, food stalls and secret passages, Chongqing provides the perfect setting to experience the technological advancements of Hitman 3. IO Interactive’s Glacier-engine makes sure that Hitman 3 will look better than ever, with improved lighting, reflections, animations and AI. Chongqing also showcases the new water effects, such as drops of rain that will visually dampen Agent 47’s clothing, adding a new level of never-before-seen immersion.
We’ve got a trailer below that gives a good impression of the technological advancements that Hitman 3 will deliver when it launches in early 2021. Hitman 3 will run at 60 FPS in 4K resolution with HDR-support on next-gen consoles. The game is set to launch on the 20th of January on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Google Stadia and PC. Additionally, the game will also be available to play on the Nintendo Switch, albeit as a cloud-only version.
