Nyu Media announces four doujin games for Steam Greenlight

As of lately, Japanese indie games do extremely well in the gaming scene as they continue to blossom while increasing their number of fans both in-land as oversea. It is due to this that Nyu Media is proud to present four new doujin games that hit the Steam Greenlight this morning.

Yatagarasu Attack on Cataclysm

Developed by three former SNK/King of Fighters developers, Yatagarasu Attack on Cataclysm is an original, traditional 2D fighting game. Yatagarasu AoC was inspired by Street Fighter III and elements that you may find in BlazBlue. The gameplay is not only fight or die but you will need to read your opponent. Parry and counter their attacks in a timely manner while being able to deliver crushing blows. The game comes with eleven playable characters and a commentary system that provides a real-time commentary based on how the match is being played. Yatagarasu AoC will feature online gameplay with ranked matches, lobby matches, online leaderboards, tournament plays, training mode and even a Twitter integration.

The game was successfully crowdfunded through IndieGoGo in 2013, with hopes to release the game in the summer of 2014, hopefully also on Steam. Check out the Steam Greenlight page for Yatagarasu Attack on Cataclysm for more information.

Sacred Tears TRUE

Sacred Tears TRUE is developed by AlphaNuts, a Japanese doujin game circle. While at its core the game is an RPG, it mixes traditional elements from the JRPG genre with innovative and fun elements such as a simple card battle system and outstanding visuals and sounds. The forty-eight chapters you can find in Sacred Tears TRUE are made of single missions or cases the protagonists have to solve.

It is planned for release in September 2014 but will need to be Greenlit first. You can read up on additional information about Sacred Tears TRUE here.

Supercharged Robot VULKAISER

The creators from Satazius and Gigantic Army are back with yet another game. In Supercharged Robot VULKAISER, you will pilot the robot and fight alongside your VulFighter team mates to defend and protect the Earth from the invading Gogoh Army. Supercharged Robot VULKAISER is an anime-inspired side-scrolling shooting game that is set in the 70s.

Supercharged Robot VULKAISER is planned to release in June 2014 with steam achievements, online leaderboards and the most wanted steam trading cards. Check out the various KAISER bots on the Steam Greenlit page right here.

ARMED SEVEN

ARMED SEVEN is another side-scrolling shoot ’em up game brought to us by the creators of Satazius and Gigantic Army. Twelve years after the invasion of Gogoh’s Army in Supercharged Robot VULKAISER, the Earthen technology has taken massive leaps forward. With customizable weapon loadouts and four difficulty levels that range from easy to insane, you will have plenty of fun in seven different stages of side-scrolling mayhem.

Already available in several stores, ARMED SEVEN is hoping to follow the previous titles Satazius and Gigantic Army onto Steam. When the game is greenlit, achievements, online leaderboards and steam trading cards will be added. You can check out the full details of ARMED SEVEN on the Greenlight page.
