One Piece Odyssey – New Dev Diary video released!
The new developer diary video reveals information about the creation and game mechanics in One Piece Odyssey, the upcoming JRPG that brings together an all-new gaming experience with an original story and new characters developed under the direction of series creator Eiichiro Oda. This video offers fans a first-hand look at the gameplay mechanics of One Piece Odyssey, including battles and special features such as “Dramatic Scenes” and “Scramble Area Battle”.
One Piece Odyssey producer Katsuaki Tsuzuki and composer Motoi Sakuraba are joined by Ken Takano, One Piece editor-in-chief at Weekly Shonen Jump. They talk about the collaboration between Bandai Namco Entertainment and the developers of the game ILCA Inc., Eiichiro Oda’s involvement and how the game’s soundtrack came about.
The role-playing game One Piece Odyssey will be released in 2022 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. This game is developed by ILCA Inc. and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment.
Produced by Toei Animation and based on creator Eiichiro Oda’s best-selling manga title of all time, the One Piece series first premiered on Japanese TV in October 1999 and follows Monkey. D. Luffy and his Straw Hat Crew on their epic quest for “One Piece,” the legendary treasure of the former King of the Pirates, Gol D. Roger.
