Patch 5.5 released for Final Fantasy XIV Online
Today, Square Enix has released Patch 5.5 for Final Fantasy XIV Online called Death Unto Dawn. With this patch, Square Enix has started paving the way to the new adventure coming to the game and it is the starting point for the fourth expansion called Endwalker. This patch also delivers the third chapter of YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse, the raid-series inspired by NieR.
Today is also the starting date for the open beta of the PlayStation 5 version of Final Fantasy XIV Online. This version will bring players new features, additions, better framerates, a 4K resolution, haptic feedback with the DualSense controller and 3D audio support. Existing PlayStation 4 players can upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version. New players can check out the game on PlayStation 5 via the Free Trial.
