Frontier Developments plc has unveiled Planet Zoo: Console Edition, set to launch on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 next month. This port brings Frontier’s BAFTA-nominated creative management simulation to consoles, incorporating over four years’ worth of features, content, and animals from the acclaimed PC video game’s free updates. The game boasts a diverse array of animals that exhibit lifelike behaviors, allowing players to create and manage habitats that cater to their needs. With intuitive console controls, players can nurture and learn about various species, while also constructing and customizing zoos. The game offers four engaging modes for players to test their skills: Career, Franchise, Challenge, and Sandbox. The deep management system allows players to focus on the overall zoo management or delve into intricate details to ensure the well-being of animals, staff, and guests, emphasizing animal welfare and conservation.

Planet Zoo: Console Edition facilitates piece-by-piece construction, unique themes, and a vast selection of building components, enabling players to create visually stunning zoos from the comfort of their sofas. The game promotes community engagement through console cross-platform sharing via Frontier Workshop, allowing the exchange of habitats, scenery, and entire zoos. Planet Zoo: Console Edition launches on March 26 with a suggested retail price of £39.99 / $49.99 / €49.99. For players seeking additional content, the Deluxe Edition is available for pre-order at a suggested retail price of £49.99 / $59.99 / €59.99. This edition includes 16 extra animals and two additional scenarios, transporting players to the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia and vibrant wetlands. The Ultimate Edition encompasses all Deluxe content and a season pass granting access to 14 future console DLC packs, available for £99.99 / $119.99 / €119.99.
