Play Outriders for free now, ahead of Worldslayer
Square Enix has announced that players can play the full original Outriders game, including cross-play with other platforms, until the 23rd of June. Any progress players make during this free period can be taken back when they purchase Outriders on the same platform. Additionally, anyone who has played the Outriders demo before will be able to continue playing from where they left off. For the uninitiated, Outriders is a brutal RPG shooter set in an original, dark sci-fi world. As the last remnants of humanity slowly bleed to death in the trenches of the harsh, unforgiving world of Enoch, you awaken as one of the last Outriders and an Altered, someone who has somehow been transformed by the terrible Anomaly and has incredible powers as a result.
Embark on an epic journey across a hostile planet where hyper-evolved life is bent on your death. Choose from four different classes and use in-depth and flexible customization options to tailor your character to your own play style. Collect awesome and twisted guns and gear, and wield devastating superpowers. Stay aggressive, kill to heal, and take the fight to your enemies in single-player or with up to three other players in the co-op of the epic story campaign. The free-to-play period on Steam has begun already and will end on Thursday 23 June at 7:00 CEST. This free period leads up to the next step in the Outriders universe: Worldslayer, a massive update that will be available for PC (Steam, Epic, and Windows Store), PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Google Stadia, and Nvidia GeForce Now from the 30th of June. Outriders owners can purchase the Worldslayer upgrade for access to Worldslayer content. Digital pre-orders will offer Early Access on all platforms where pre-orders are available from 28 June.
