Psychological horror game Dreamcore launches January 23rd

Dreamcore, the backrooms-inspired horror game made by Montraluz, announced its launch on January 23rd, 2025. The game offers a unique first-person experience of various expansive worlds based on labyrinths and liminal spaces. These worlds all contain a puzzle that gives you a clue to find the exit once solved. These worlds are all similar in that they evoke the 1980s complete with the grainy aesthetic of found footage VHS tapes, not all too dissimilar to the ‘backrooms’ which inspired various parts of the game.

The second world of Dreamcore, Eternal Suburbia, is inspired by Level 94 from the Backrooms. This is also the game part that gets highlighted during the Winter Demo festival. Until December 31st, 2024 the Second World is available on Steam and Xbox, here you have to unravel the secrets of an uncannily idyllic suburban neighborhood. Break beyond the familiar facade and discover its true, disturbing form while it loops around itself.

Start discovering the worlds of Dreamcore right now with the free demo available for Steam and Xbox Series X|S or wait until the full release on January 23rd, 2025, and start the year in style. The full game will launch on Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
