Ready, set go! Circuit Superstars is off to the races today!
Today sees the release of Square Enix and Original Fire Games’ long-expected top-down race game Circuit Superstars. This charming competitive title was made by racing fans, for racing fans. It is a tribute to various generations of all kinds of motorsports, with an emphasis on a racing experience that feels great from the get-go but also provides players with ample room to continuously improve their skills. Prior to launch, Circuit Superstars received rigorous testing from big names from various branches of motorsports and esports, including IndyCar-racer and former F1 driver Romain Grosjean and F1 star Lando Norris, alongside team members from the esports-team quadrant. As part of the collaboration between BBC Studios and Top Gear, these drivers were joined by a line-up of motorsports-, esports- and YouTube superstars, that tried out the Circuit Superstars version of the iconic Top Gear test track in a unique virtual version of the “Star in a Reasonably Fast Car” feature.
Alongside the launch of the game comes a special, free Top Gear DLC that lets players race with their heroes on the iconic Top Gear test track. The track features the Top Gear Time Attack function, which allows players to take it on in a special Stig costume as they attempt to perfect their laps against race heroes like Lando Norris, Romain Grosjean, Jamie Chadwick, Sam Bird, Steve “SuperGT” Brown, Charlie Martin, Jimmy Broadbent, Catie Munnings, Aarava and Conor Daly. With 12 race-ready vehicles, 19 available tracks, and 13 vivid locations, Circuit Superstars offers players access to the garage of their dreams. Players can customize the colors on both racers and cars, and new victory dances and helmets are available by climbing the ranks. The various motorsport disciplines ensure that everyone will find their preferred category, whether it’s rally cars, trucks, or GT race cars, and with more free content on the way, Circuit Superstars is driving towards a sunny future. The game is available now on PC via Steam as well as Xbox One, and is set to launch on PS4 and Switch in the near future.
