Reverb … redesigned with EXOVERB
Today Dear Reality launches EXOVERB, a totally new reverb plug-in that lends a hitherto unheard-of three-dimensional depth and width perception to stereo productions. The plug-in blends the most natural reverb into the mix and offers 50 lifelike, handcrafted acoustic scenes in four categories (Ambiences, Rooms, Halls, and Plates). To do so, it relies on EXOVERB‘s proprietary reverb engine with synthesized spatial multi-IRs. EXOVERB integrates the basic principles of spatial hearing to enable enhanced control of spatial distance perception, which will polish the stereo mix and leave more room for additional instruments. True to Dear Reality’s philosophy of ease of use, EXOVERB features a simple user interface where the reverb can be adjusted perfectly to the individual mix. An innovative ‘triangle pad’ helps to select the perfect mix of reverb, early reflections, and dry signals by plotting the ratio of early reflections and late reverb on the x-axis and the level of dry and wet signals on the y-axis. Moreover, EXOVERB provides direct access to commonly used parameters such as Pre-Delay, Size, Decay, and Width, without requiring the user to dive into submenus as with numerous other reverb tools.
EXOVERB offers a greater sense of depth with natural spatial separation. Via the Depth parameter, the front-back space of the mix can be further adjusted, increasing depth perception in stereo mixes. EXOVERB goes beyond two-dimensional stereo sound and relies on Dear Reality’s proprietary reverb engine with synthesized spatial multi-IRs to do so. Furthermore, EXOVERB offers three separate EQs to shape early reflections, decay, and summed signal. Each 3-band EQ includes a low-shelf, a parametric, and a high-shelf filter to achieve the optimal reverb sound for the mix. EXOVERB is now available in the Dear Reality store. During the launch phase (until 30 November 2022), the plug-in is available for USD69/69 EUR/59 GBP (+ local VAT), from 1 December the price increases to USD99/99 EUR/89 GBP (+ local VAT).
