Revist a horror classic in FATAL FRAME II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE
Remastering classic horror games seems to be really on trend right now, as both Resident Evil and Silent Hill have been releasing remakes of older games in the franchise for modern players. Fans of Fatal Frame have long wondered if maybe that means we can expect Koei Tecmo to follow suit. And indeed, they just announced FATAL FRAME II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE. This is a complete remaster of one of the most beloved pieces in the series, centered around twins Mio and Mayu after they get lost in the woods. There, they stumble upon a village that was wiped out in a disaster centuries ago, but where vengeful spirits still linger. Armed with a camera that can harm ghosts, the twins must make it out alive, or bear the consequences. Originally released in 2003, this game will make a comeback in early 2026, when it will drop for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X/S, and on Steam.
