Rocket League Championship Series gets a third season

Esports doesn’t just mean LoL or Dota, among their ranks is also Rocket League. The game where the goal is to use cars to shoot a giant ball into the goal of the opposing team has already had not one but two Championships.

Psyonix isn’t pulling any punches as they are dropping at least two and a half million dollars in this season. Nothing for me, you might think, but Psyonix isn’t just giving the ‘professionals’ a shot at winning, they are motivated to give everyone the possibility to win. With a prize pool of over one million.

There are other things Psyonix are pushing, among which are onsite events at major gaming conventions, like Pax and the like, as mentioned before, extensive funding for community-run tournaments, so not only the ‘pros’ have a chance to win something. Some love for the Xbox community in the form of a new series of tournaments and much more. If you are wondering if you’ll have to struggle with menus, then you’ll be glad to hear that the developer is planning for a new robust esports hub on the official Rocket League website.

So if any year was a good year to jump into the Rocket League game and go for the top spots of the championships, now would be the best time.

More information on the championship can be found here.

First game ever was Crash Bandicoot 3 Warped, ever since then, gaming has been something that I've gravitated to. Reading's fun but not as interactive. Always up for a bout of online multiplayer. If that multiplayer is co-op. So if you are up for a friendly co-op session, hit me up. Rahenik's the name to search on PSN.
