Root Double – Before Crime * After Days – Xtend Edition receives a boxed edition!
Good news for visual novel fans! ININ Games recently announced that a boxed physical release for the Nintendo Switch of Sekai Project Root Double – Before Crime * After Days – Xtend Edition will be released today!
Root Double – Before Crime * After Days – Xtend Edition is set in 2030 in a combined city and research hub where the residents are unable to interact with the outside world without permission from the local government. At the start of the game, there are two-story scenarios that the player can choose from. Each scenario is told from a different character’s perspective in which the player assumes the role of.
First, we have Watase Kasanagi who is sent in as part of a rescue team after an accident happened at an institute in the city. The other protagonist is a high school student named Natsuhiko Tenkawa who happened to be in the institute at the time of the accident. Your most important goal is to stay alive, but you’ll also be searching for survivors, building relationships, and regain your memories.
One interesting feature of the game is the Senses Sympathy System that allows you to adjust your impressions of the other characters using sliders. This also includes the characters that the player is taking the role of. The game also features beautiful HD artwork and a fully Japanese voice cast by famous voice actors.
