Rural Gothic mystery RUNT announced alongside demo drop
Developer Grimtaste Studios and publisher DreadXP announced their upcoming horror visual novel RUNT. Set inside a settlement during the apocalypse, Runt Strayer is the younger son of a deceased cult leader, who has five days to figure out who can and can’t be trusted before the relative peace of their little safe haven will turn into a bloodbath for good. The game includes visual novel gameplay with puzzles, hidden object games, and branching dialogue that will lead to tense choices that influence the ending of the story. RUNT also boasts hand-drawn art, and what’s more, a demo that is currently out on Steam if you already want to get a taste! RUNT will launch in 2026 on PC, though we don’t have a proper date pinned yet.
