TSI’s debut title Seven Dragon Saga announced

Seven Dragon Saga – an original RPG – is the debut title of Tactical Simulations Interactive and will be released for PC, Mac and Linux. Inspired by the former studio Strategic Simulations Interactive’s classic 80s and 90s games such as AD&D Curse of the Azure Bonds, Pool of Radiance and Wizard’s Crown, TSI decided to blow some new life in the pen-and-paper role-playing system by using the modern technology with an advanced new core gaming system.

David Shelley, the producer and lead designer of Seven Dragon Saga mentioned in the press release that “Seven Dragon Saga provides a robust rules system and fresh campaign setting for us to draw from. We’re adapting the pen and paper system as the seed to develop a compelling game experience, creating the type of strategy fantasy game our team is known for.”

It is the Emperor’s role to proclaim.
It is the Dragons’ role to command.
It is the role of the Touched to act,
without hesitation and without regret.

The game is all about the Empire of the Seven Dragon that is set in a fantasy universe but it not the type of game that will learn you how to swing a sword effectively. Right from the start the player will have access to heroes that are rather powerful already and they will need to learn how to wield their powers.

As mentioned before Seven Dragon Saga will feature the classic RPG elements with a modern gameplay in a turn-based tactical combat system that is updated to fit the modern needs of gamers. For those curious ones, here is some concept art featuring the Kralik pit fighter, the elf wizard, the dwarf knight and possible landscapes.
