Shapez 2 makes a big jump into the third dimension
We’ve known about a sequel for the top-down automation game, Shapez, for a while now. But now, however, the indie game studio, Tobspr Games, has finally dropped a trailer for Shapez 2 with one big surprise, the introduction of 3D visuals, thus allowing players to build their factories in multiple layers.
In Shapez 2, you’ll be in charge of extracting and processing geometric shapes. Each of these shapes has a unique collection of building blocks to take apart, stack, paint, and reassemble back together in unique ways. Create big factories that optimize and automate this process to solve increasingly complex logistics and automation tasks. Create hundreds of unique combinations with trains to connect distant stations. Use multiple types of fluids to process shapes, and a research tree to unlock new buildings and upgrades. Of course, the biggest upgrade of the sequel is the all-new 3D visuals that let you build in multiple dimensions. Use these camera controls and open buildings to see exactly what’s happening inside. Even the German government donated funds to take Shapez 2 to the next level. Keep your eyes open in the future for this much anticipated factory-building game on Steam.
