Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened suffers a release delay
Ukrainian game developer Frogwares has announced that the release of their upcoming game, Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened, will be delayed by a few weeks. The developers had originally planned to release the game in late February or early March but the ongoing war in Ukraine has made it difficult for the team to work through the constant strikes on civilian infrastructure and frequent blackouts. Due to these challenges, the team has decided to delay the game until late March or April 2023.
The developers have been working on the game since April 2022 but the last five months have been extremely difficult for the team. Despite the challenges, the game is now content-complete and the team is moving into the final stages of development. Frogwares has released an update video showing the current situation in Kyiv and has promised to announce the new release date once they are a month away from release. Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened is a Cthulhu meets Sherlock Holmes detective horror adventure that will be coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
