Slay Your Way: All New Customisation In Diablo IV

Slay Your Way: All New Customisation In Diablo IV

On June 6th, Blizzard Entertainment is set to release the long-awaited sequel to the Diablo franchise: Diablo IV, available on PC via Battle.net, Xbox, and PlayStation

There is endless evil to slaughter, countless abilities to master, nightmarish dungeons, and legendary loot in the new ARPG, which allows players to bring any playstyle from the previous Diablo games into this world.

Diablo IV allows players to customize their game like never before and allow for everyone’s experience to be uniquely tailored. Player choice is ingrained in the game’s DNA, from things like character customization to the path they end up taking for side stories and how to explore the Diablo world. Everyone is invited, as Hell welcome all, so here are some of the ways players can enter the world of Diablo by recreating their persona in-game:

Diablo IV Classes

Diablo IV has multiple classes players can choose from to customize their gameplay to their preferences. Choosing a class is very important as it will dictate how the game will play out: picking the right one is essential. Play as the Barbarian, a fierce warrior and fighter, to be able to jump into the freight immediately, master any weapon and crush your opposition. The Sorcerer, a mage able to conquer any element, allows players to hurl bolts of lightning, impale their foes with spikes of ice, and rain flaming meteors from the sky. Choose the Rogue to be a jack of all trades. He is an adaptable, clever, and stealthy warrior, and gives players the ability to specialize in different types of combat, which include everything from poison to shadow magic. If players have the desire to battle in the wild, play as the Druid, a shapeshifter able to transform with ease between all types of creatures of the wild, such as werewolves. Necromancer, the most cunning of the classes, is a manipulator of life and death allowing players to summon undead minions who will crush their opponents.

Character Customisation

Unlike previous Diablo games, in Diablo IV there are near endless options to choose from when creating characters. It is completely up to the player how their character looks, without having to stick to specific archetypes.

Choose facial features, facial hair, eye color, skin tone, hair color, piercings and so much more. Each class even has an exclusive hairstyle only they can use, so choose your class wisely. There are also dozens of markings that cover characters’ entire bodies for players to choose from as well, allowing players to be tattooed from head to toe.

Wardrobe and gear are even customizable, so everyone will look completely different from one another in Diablo IV – players can now express themselves like never before and channel their inner warrior.

Playstyle selection

When first starting the game, players will be introduced to Diablo IV’s Skill Tree, which allows players to choose different skills to upgrade and master throughout the game. Players can decide to focus on a specific section of the skill tree, or pick and choose which will be most important for their current needs, allowing them to branch out in any way they desire.

The Paragon board is a system that allows players to delve into theory crafting and dive into the skills system of Diablo IV once they have completely filled out their Skill Tree. There are nodes on this board that give them a variety of stats, from additional dexterity and intelligence, to more powerful nodes which can completely modify a skill, get bonuses and improve gameplay. Players will be able to plan their skill journey by identifying their desired skills on the Paragon boards and moving towards them.

There are more opportunities than ever before for players to shape their gameplay and personalize it to their liking. Characters can look the way anyone wants, the game can be played any way the player wants. The options are endless in Diablo IV.

Diablo IV launches on June 6th on Xbox and PlayStation as well as on PC via Battle.net.
