Spitlings gets a release date
Indie game Spitlings has secured a release date and that date is closer than you might expect. The game is set to launch on a multitude of platforms next week, on the 4th of August to be precise. The titular Spitlings are happy little creatures that inhabit their skyscraper hometown. Goop rains threaten their way of life, as the rain turns into nasty bubbles that trap the Spitlings and wreck their home town. The only way to fight back is by splitting bubbles and freeing their friends that live on the lower floors.
The odd-looking game promises highly-engaging multiplayer fun where up to four people have to coöperate to clear each of the game’s 100+ levels. If one player fails, it’s game over for the entire group so it’s important that each team member pulls their weight in order to guarantee success. Spitlings is already available through Google Stadia. It is set to launch next week on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Switch. It will be available at a launch price of €14.99.
