Square Enix announces Gamescom line-up
Gamescom is the largest European trade fair for interactive games and entertainment. You could say that Gamescom is a miniature E3, which means that most of the games that have been announced at E3 will be playable at the fair. Many fans were let down when they didn’t see a trailer of Final Fantasy XV at E3 2015 but Gamescom 2015 brings some great news as the public will be able to play Final Fantasy XV.
Not only will Final Fantasy XV be playable at this event. Square Enix’ line-up for Gamescom is one of the biggest so far with 1100 square meters of space and 200 hands-on stations on which you can play Just Cause 3, Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below, Life is Strange, Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward and Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. Live-theater stage demo’s of Hitman and Deux Ex: Mankind Divided will be held but won’t be playable for the public.
The main stage is reserved for Final Fantasy XV. The public will see some spectacular stage presentations of widely-known guests of the FF-franchise as well as some new insights of the game. A few fans will even be given the opportunity to play Final Fantasy XV – Episode Duscae 2.0 on stage.
If you’re planning on taking a road trip to Gamescom 2015, you can visit Square Enix in hall 9, where they will be taking up two separate locations. The hands-on zones of Just Cause 3 and Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward can be found in hall 9, location B31/B41. The hands-on stations for Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and Life is Strange can also be found around the main stage. If you’re in line to see the presentations of Hitman and Deux Ex: Mankind Divided, you can always make time go faster by playing the mobile releases of Lara Croft: Relic Run and Hitman Go on the mobile hands-on stations planted nearby. MMO-fans can find Final Fantasy XIV: Battle Arena in Hall 9, C51.
Lastly, fans are invited to visit the Square Enix Products stand, which is located in Hall 5.1, C12 where the public can buy products before these are released for the general public world-wide, such as the Final Fantasy VII AC Play Arts Kai Cloud, Metal Gear Solid V Play Arts Kai Venom Snake (exclusive color-version) and Final Fantasy VII Vinyl OST.
