Square Enix reveals more details about Tactics Ogre: Reborn
Square Enix revealed some more information and assets today for their upcoming tactical RPG Tactics Ogre: Reborn. The newest game from this popular Japanese franchise aims to bring this series to a more widespread audience by releasing on current consoles and western markets. The plot was one of the things we got to know more about: it’s set during a bloody civil war that commences after the king who brought more than half a century of peace to the country dies. Three separate factions fight for control and our main character finds himself trapped in the middle. The devs revealed the return of several classes and skill trees known to the franchise, as well as the major arcana tarot system. This allows the player to use a few special features during the game such as rewinding to a previous round in battle or recruiting/saving characters they missed earlier. This way you’ll be able to experience more of the story, since Tactics Ogre: Reborn has a branching narrative where your choices will greatly impact how the game plays out.
