Strategic survival game Thea: The Awakening coming in 2015

The game market will see yet another survival game but this time around, it’s made by one of the developers of The Witcher. Thea: The Awakening is a postapocaliptic dark fantasy game which features a lot of Slavic mythology.

In Thea, you, the player, will take on the role of a true God who needs to look after mankind after a century of Darkness. Dynamic and story driven events will try to make life hard for you, but there’s only one thing left to do: survive.

The game combines strategy and survival gameplay thank to an isometric view and turn based game mechanic. You won’t just have to think about gathering enough food the feed the hungry, but other survivalists and monsters of the dark are after whatever you’ve got. Count hereby the possibility of contracting diseases and a natural disaster destroying everything you’ve worked for and the survival aspect looks pretty fleshed out as well.

The game has launched on Steam Greenlight on the 25^th of April and very, very soon, on the 7^th of May, a Kickstarter campaign will start. If you’re into survival games or a fun strategic experience, be sure to keep an eye out for this one.
