Stronghold for Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
ArenaNet has just announced that Stronghold, a brand new PvP mode coming for the expansion, will be playable in the live game for all Guild Wars 2 players! The new PvP mode will not be fully implemented, but gives players an open beta test opportunity. Stronghold blends deep strategy, role-based play and story elements inside PvP. Again? I wonder what might have been changed since the last time. The open beta will be available for 24 hours on June 2nd from noon UTC‑7 (pacific time) on. Players that weren’t around during the first open beta can check the following link for info about game mechanics: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/stronghold-the-battle-of-champions-dusk/ I’m not exactly a PvP girl, but was there during the first open beta and can say I actually did like it. Might try to find out during the next one how to actually summon the hired forces, because last time I was a little overwhelmed by the PvP playstyle and ended up defending the stronghold from forces hired by the enemy instead of hiring myself :).
