Team17 signs Way to the Woods
Yesterday, Team17 announced a partnership with 16-year-old independent developer and student Anthony Tan (Studio Happy Bee) to publish a stunning new game- Way to the Woods. Already a hit on Reddit, and capturing the attention of the founder of Hello Games studio Sean Murray (behind No Man’s Sky), the title has been described as a beautiful and unique-looking game.
Way to the Woods is a third-person adventure, where you play as a deer and her fawn and explore a strange word filled with surreal imagery that is inspired partly by the style of Studio Ghibli. It has been lovingly crafted by Anthony Tan, and features a gorgeous soundtrack by London-based musician and composer Jeremy Warmsley.
There’s no word of when we’ll see this available for purchase, but needless to say Way to the Woods definitely sounds like something to check out in the future.
