The Father wins two Oscar awards for Best Actor and Best Adapted Screenplay
Due to the pandemic, last year’s Oscar Awards had to be postponed until they could finally take place this month, honoring all nominations released in 2020 and early 2021. One big contender was The Father, a movie based on the play by French novelist Florian Zeller. The Father did not disappoint, winning the award for Best Adapted Screenplay for director Christopher Hampton. Anthony Hopkins – who plays the lead in the movie – also was proud to receive the award for Best Actor. The movie was nominated for a few others, so overall a stellar achievement, and stars a lot more experienced actors such as Olivia Colman, Imogen Poots and Rufus Sewell.
