The Gunk is now out on Steam
Thunderful Games have announced that their space-exploring adventure, The Gunk, is now officially out on Steam. To celebrate the launch, a new trailer highlighting the game’s features has been released. Additionally, players will now be able to take advantage of the recently added photo mode, featuring a slew of editing options.
In The Gunk, players will take on the role of Rani, who, alongside her partner Becks, stumbles across a seemingly barren planet infested with a strange substance they call “the gunk”. Rani and her partner wonder if their days of scrapping for resources are over, although they’ll first need to discover what this mysterious gunk is.
The Gunk has a big emphasis on exploration in a diverse alien world featuring biomes ranging from rocky canyons to dense jungles and more. Although these areas will at first seem barren, as players start clearing the gunk with Rani’s tools they’ll soon discover a planet brimming with life. Amongst these biomes, ruins of an ancient civilization will also be discovered, prompting even more questions for players to answer.
