The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD will be out for Nintendo Switch this Friday!

Relive the origins of the legend in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD when the game comes out onto Nintendo Switch this very week. Begin your adventure on July 16th and travel with Link from high above the clouds to deep underground to rescue his childhood friend Zelda so she can fulfill her destiny.

With this release, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD offers several improvements for a more enjoyable gaming experience, including an improved frame rate and automatic progress saving, as well as improvements to the explanations, help, and information provided by the game. The classic adventure has also been enhanced for Nintendo Switch with smoother motion controls and new button controls.

Players plunge from a cloud world into different areas with dungeons full of terrible creatures, treasures, and puzzles that will test even the bravest of heroes. Intuitive motion controls allow the player to swing the sword in all directions – which is also possible for the first time with the added button controls.

A fresh graduate of Skyloft knight academy, Link sets out to find his childhood friend Zelda to rescue her from the mysterious demon lord Ghirahim. In doing so, he is guided and aided by Fi, the spirit of the goddess sword. Along the way, Link encounters many colorful characters, such as his rival Ganderd and the mysterious warrior named Impa. On the back of his trusty Loftwing, Link can fly through the sky and visit floating islands, then plunge through the clouds and land in a world full of forests, deserts, volcanoes, and more!
