The Outer Worlds: Murder on Eridanos DLC and enhancements patch for next-gen is available now
Today, along with the expansion, an update has been released that removes the frame rate limitation for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. This update also allows players who want to play an expansion with a save point after ‘the point where you can’t return’ to load a game on board the Unreliable. This way they can play the expansion without creating a new game or character. The DLC also increases the level limit by three, adding not only new scientific weapons and armor sets, but also more options to customize skills.
The expansion Murder on Eridanos adds a compelling, interstellar murder mystery that players must solve. Rizzo’s spokesperson, Halcyon Helen, is found dead and it’s up to you to unravel this web of riddles, deceit, and secrets. You must uncover clues and unlock different mission routes with a new gadget – the Discrepancy Amplifier – and track down a variety of suspects with colorful personalities.
Murder on Eridanos is NOW available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X (through backwards compatibility), PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Xbox Game Pass users receive a 10% discount on the DLC. The expansion will be released on Nintendo Switch later this year. Murder on Eridanos is also available as part of an Expansion Pass that includes the first DLC Peril on Gorgon for € 24.99. The DLC for The Outer Worlds requires the base game and the player must be past Monarch to access the Murder on Eridanos content.
