The Outlast Trials kicks off its next season with a new update!
Red Barrels has released a new update for The Outlast Trials, launching Season 3.1, titled PRIME TIME. This update introduces new content, gameplay improvements, and a limited-time in-game event. Building on the success of the previous event, Season 3.1 expands the gameplay experience with new features and content. Franco Barbi joins Mother Gooseberry and Sergeant Coyle in the lineup of Prime Assets, appearing together within Trials for a heightened level of challenge. Players can now take on two new MK-Challenges designed to test their endurance and strategy: FUMIGATE THE FACTORY and REDEEM YOUR FREEDOM. The PRIME TIME limited-time event invites players to participate in selected Trials for a chance to earn exclusive cosmetic rewards. Event Tokens earned through participation can be redeemed in the PRIME TIME Event Catalog, though tokens will expire once the event concludes.
UPDATE FEATURES:
- Revamped Genesis Program: All Trials and MK-Challenges introduced since launch have been organized thematically, streamlining the progression experience.
- Group Finder (New Matchmaking Tool): Replacing the former Quickplay option, this feature allows players to connect with others based on shared goals, improving matchmaking efficiency. It is accessible via the Terminal’s main screen.
- Updated Pause Menu: The redesigned menu includes three clear sections—Menu, Tasks, and Loadout—allowing players to access key gameplay information and manage their equipment more efficiently during Trials.
- Additional Improvements: Enhancements include updates to the Trial Maker tool, refinements to imposter behavior, and adjustments to stamina-related items, all aimed at improving balance and gameplay flow.
Season 3.1 is now live on all platforms. Alongside the update, Red Barrels has also announced permanent price reductions for its legacy Outlast titles across all platforms. Outlast is now priced at $14.99 USD, Outlast: Whistleblower is $4.99, and Outlast 2 is $19.99, respectively.
