The R-Type Final series makes its triumphant return next year
R-Type Final 2 has been confirmed for launch on PS4, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X. NIS America announced the release today for North America, Europe and Oceania. The legendary side-scrolling series will make its long-awaited return on modern consoles in the spring of 2021. The return is the result of a successful crowdfunding campaign, which concluded in November of last year.
Developed by Granzella and published by Irem, R-Type Final 2 unites the explosive action of the original games with modernized visuals and updated gameplay features, making this a must-have title for new and old shoot-’em-up fans alike. A limited edition of the game will also be available and can be pre-ordered at participating retailers starting on the 29th of October.
