The War of the Worlds: Siberia brings legendary literary sci-fi world to gaming in new cinematic trailer at IGN Fan Fest 2025

1CGS has revealed more information about the storyline of The War of the Worlds: Siberia at IGN Fan Fest. It’s a third-person action-adventure game set in the world of H.G. Wells’ sci-fi novel “The War of the Worlds” which was published in 1989. The book is set in England, and the movie adaptation was set in America. However, this game takes a different turn and is set in the Russian Empire of the 19th century. Follow a student as he tries to navigate the Russian Empire, which is ruled by alien invaders. TWotW: Siberia also features elements of stealth and spatial puzzles.
The gameplay reveal has already garnered 360,000 views on YouTube, and the developers have also unveiled the official Steam page, where interested players can add the game to their wishlist to find out more. The game is still in development. An official release date will be announced in the future.
