Try out Paper Ghost Stories for free on PC today!

Starting today, PC gamers can get their first taste of Paper Ghost Stories: Third Eye Open, the next installment and first full-sized game in an award-winning anthology of creepy tales inspired by Malaysian and Chinese myths and culture from publisher Chorus Worldwide in collaboration with developer Cellar Vault Games. A one-hour “short story”, titled 7PM and set in the shared Paper Ghost Stories universe is available for free for the next two weeks and will be packaged with Third Eye Open’s console versions when the game launches in 2023. Please note that 7PM is a short story to Third Eye Open’s novel: the former takes about one hour to complete, while Cellar Vault Games aims to make the latter approximately five to six hours long. Third Eye Open’s console release will also include 7PM.

In Third Eye Open, players follow a young Chinese-Malaysian girl named Ting as she comes of age alongside Xiu, a mysterious spirit only she can see. Navigate the trials and tribulations of school, social, and home life via a collection of minigames as calming as creating a barbecue platter to as harrowing as fleeing from phantoms. Third Eye Open will be available on PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC early next year. Courtesy of a partnership with Serenity Forge, a physical edition will be available at launch.
