Turbo Overkill leaves Early Access and finishes its epic tale

Turbo Overkill, the cyberpunk FPS by developer Trigger Happy Interactive, has been scoring overwhelmingly positive reviews and finally leaves Early Access with its 1.0 update. This update comes with a conclusion to the epic cyberpunk story and a few extras for the fans.

Turbo Overkill is a love letter to retro action FPS games like Duke Nukem 3D but with modern game mechanics seen in the most competent Esports titles. Take on the role of half-man, half-machine antihero Johny Turbo to take on the evil artificial intelligence hivemind Syn. Fight through the hordes of brainwashed minions to take back the neon-lit hellscape called Paradise using a bunch of guns and even a chainsaw leg. The 1.0 update delivers The Final Episode Part 2, which concludes the story of Turbo Overkill with over-the-top bosses and intense blood-soaked action. Play solo or get a friend in co-op multiplayer. The full release also introduces a level builder and full mod support to give gamers hours of playtime.

People who can’t get enough of Turbo Overkill’s fantastic music will be pleased to hear that the entire 3+ hour soundtrack is available on all major streaming platforms. Enjoy tracks made by industry veterans like Tim Stoney or Nikola Jeremic, who have worked on other games like Cyberpunk 2077 or Assassin’s Creed Origins. The developers also announced a prequel comic that will come out later this year to enhance the story even more.
