Warner Bros. and TT Games announce LEGO Dimensions

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games and The LEGO Group announce LEGO® Dimensions, a brand new experience which breaks the rules of traditional gaming. Interactive gameplay goes hand in hand with actually building with LEGO blocks. Several favorite universes of fans will be playable on the 29th of september 2015 like DC Comics, Lord of the Rings, The LEGO Movie, The Wizard of Oz, LEGO Ninjago, Back to the Future and more.

LEGO Dimensions is being developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, it will be available on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation®4, PlayStation®3 and the Wii™ U.

“When kids play with LEGO bricks, they build beyond the singular brands, intermixing all of their favorite characters and universes, and we have come up with a way for players to experience that in games. Now for the first time in a videogame, LEGO fans can play in the virtual world and in the real world – combining everything without restrictions. Imagine putting LEGO Gollum from The Lord of the Rings behind the wheel of the LEGO DeLorean Time Machine in New Ninjago City – the creative play is endless.”

“Building on the track record of TT Games for exceptionally popular and engaging games, the LEGO Dimensions LEGO videogame franchise extends with a groundbreaking, immersive interactive entertainment experience that brings the toys to life and redefines the game,” said Jeff Junge, Senior Vice President, LEGO franchise and TT Games, Warner Bros. Entertainment. “LEGO Dimensions brings fans an innovative and fun gameplay with a great mix of the biggest brands in both the physical and the digital world.”

“LEGO Dimensions looks nothing like what we have done before. It extends the LEGO play experience further into the digital world with all the characters, humor and action of LEGO videogames, now combined with the fun of LEGO minifigures and modeling, “said Niels Jørgensen, Vice President, Digital Games for the LEGO Group. “We are excited to expand our partnership with TT Games in order to discover new ways in which the physical and digital game LEGO can be brought together in a meaningful way for children.”

In addition to the three minifigure heroes which will be used to start the experience, LEGO Dimensions players can build their own experience with additional expansion packs. The collectible Level Packs, Team Packs and Fun Pack will give you the opportunity to create your own characters, vehicles, tools and gadgets. The Back to the Future Level Pack with a LEGO Marty McFly minifigure, a LEGO Ninjago Team Pack Kai and Cole with minifigures, three Ninjago Fun Packs with Jay, Nya and Zane minifigures, two DC Comics Fun Packs with Wonder Woman and Cyborg minifigures, three The Lord of the Rings fun Packs with LEGO Gollum, LEGO Gimli and Legolas LEGO minifigures, four Lego Movie Fun Packs with Emmet, Bad Cop, Benny and Unikitty characters and a The Wizard of Oz Fun Pack with LEGO Wicked Witch of the West minifigure, these are just some of the packages that will be released in 2015. First game ever was Crash Bandicoot 3 Warped, ever since then, gaming has been something that I've gravitated to. Reading's fun but not as interactive. Always up for a bout of online multiplayer. If that multiplayer is co-op. So if you are up for a friendly co-op session, hit me up. Rahenik's the name to search on PSN.
