Warner Bros officially announces Mortal Kombat: Onslaught
Warner Bros. Games today announced Mortal Kombat: Onslaught, a brand-new collection RPG set to launch worldwide on mobile devices in 2023. Developed and co-published by award-winning NetherRealm Studios, Mortal Kombat: Onslaught features the first mobile-exclusive cinematic story experience for the franchise, in which players must assemble a team of fighters from an extensive roster of characters – and unleash them in massive real-time group battles to stop a dark and dangerous threat wreaking havoc across empires.
Onslaught is the first new mobile installment for the Mortal Kombat franchise since the release of Mortal Kombat Mobile, which has been installed more than 150 million times and is in the top five most downloaded fighting games on iOS and Android. Mortal Kombat also celebrates a major milestone this month with its 30th anniversary – a testament to the continued popularity and critical acclaim of the legendary franchise. While no trailer for Mortal Kombat: Onslaught was revealed yet, a cinematic celebrating the franchise anniversary was uploaded to the official Mortal Kombat YouTube channel.
