Will you give in to the hunger in Vampyr?
Yesterday, Dontnod and Focus Home Entertainment have released a tragic trailer on E3. Here, we find Doctor Jonathan Reid in a perilous situation. He has been turned into a monster and in the trailer, we can see that he needs to decide if he will give in to his hunger and how many innocent lives he has to take before he can find a cure for his condition. The choices he makes has its influence of the rest of the game. For instance, if he feeds on the relative of a shopkeeper, he or she might close up and leave town.
One other important aspect is the levelling system. It might be atypical, as you don’t gain as much by killing others, but by taking innocent people’s lives. Which moral choices will you make?
