Xbox launches beta version of the Xbox app today

Today, Xbox officially announced the release of the beta version of the Xbox app alongside a slew of new official accessories set to launch on November 10th. Additionally, the new Microsoft Store on Xbox is now live for all users. The beta version of the new Xbox app is available for Android devices and can be downloaded today from the Google Play Store. The app is the next step in Xbox’s unified Xbox experience and allows gamers to stay connected with their friends and their games regardless of the device they prefer to play on.

Launching on November 19th, a new Shock Blue Xbox Wireless controller joins the accessory range, alongside the Xbox rechargeable battery + USB C cable, allowing players to charge while playing. The new Shock Blue controller arrives alongside the previously revealed Carbon Black and Robot White Xbox Wireless controllers. These controllers can be preordered starting today, September 22nd.
