Yakuza 6: The Song of Life – release date announced
The final chapter for Kazuma Kiryu, the protagonist of SEGA’s long-running Yakuza series, will be coming to western players March the 20th of next year. Its release will both be a digital as well as a physical one, with two very special limited editions coming to the dedicated players. A special premium edition, and a launch edition.
The premium edition will be available for €89,99- and will give players a hardcover artbook, two drinking glasses, two ice stones to cool your drinks with, and two special made coasters. All this will come in a special edition box that will allow players to feel like the total badass they deserve to be while playing. If none of that is your speed, the launch edition will just include a steelbook for the game, along with the artbook.
In Yakuza 6, Kiryu will realise how many people are willing to offer themselves for their family, be that blood relatives, or blood bonds. He will work on figuring out all the shady happenings that his friends have dealt with. After three years in prison he figures that his adopted daughter has escaped the orphanage meant to protect her, and through some investigating he realises the tracks lead him to the old neighbourhoods of Kamurocho.
Yakuza 6 is the ultimate crime story, with explosive fights, beautiful scenery, and unmatched realism in the newest setting. From Onomichi, a sleepy harbor town in the Hiroshima area to Kamurocho, the largest red light district of Tokyo. Its new “Dragon Engine” will make the game even better and more lifelike then before with better animations, random street fights, interactive shopping streets, and more.
