Year of the Phoenix coming to Hearthstone soon

The next year for Hearthstone will start soon on April 7 with it being called The Year of the Phoenix. This will bring some monumental changes to the game.

The Demon Hunter, an all-new class will be added to the game and will be free for all players who have completed the Demon Hunter Prologue campaign. This prologue will retell the origin story of the iconic Warcraft hero Illidan Stormrage. You can embark on the prologue starting on the 2nd of April.

A new expansion set will be added to the game called Ashes of Outland. This will take Hearthstone into the shattered, war-torn realm that was used for the setting of World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade. Ashes of Outland will introduce 135 new collectible cards to shake up Hearthstone with novel mechanics. As of yesterday, the Ashes of Outland Mega Bundle is available for pre-purchase which will include 90 Ashes of Outland card packs, one random golden legendary card, the Lady Vashj Shaman Hero, the Serpentine card back, four Arena tickets, and Descent of Dragons bonuses for the Battlegrounds game mode, which upgrades to the Tavern Pass at the launch of this expansion. The pre-purchase pack will be a bit cheaper and will include 55 card packs with one golden legendary card and the Serpentine card back. You can only purchase one of each bundle per account.

Upcoming updates in the Year of the Phoenix will include a Ranked Mode overhaul, a free competitive deck of your own class choice, updates to Battlegrounds and much more that will be revealed in the near future.
