Three new Pokémon games announced!
During a conference held in Tokyo, The Pokemon Company International and GAMEFREAK have announced that they are going to release 3 brand-new Pokémon games: Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu!, Pokemon: Let’s Go Eevee! And the free-to-start Pokémon Quest! Aside of that, they have announced that the next game in the core RPG-series of Pokémon will be released late 2019.
In Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu! and Pokemon: Let’s Go Eevee! Players are sent on an adventure in a known setting. These games are based on Pokémon Yellow. Many intuitive functions are taken from the immensely popular game: Pokémon GO. These 2 games are meant for new players that will set their first steps in the world of Pokémon.
By taking advantage of the new functions offered by the Nintendo Switch, you can catch wild Pokémons by swinging the Joy Con controllers. Friends and family members can join in on the fun by using a second Joy Con and experience a 2-player mode to fight and explore together!
A new accessory called the Poke Ball Plus will release alongside the new games. With this device, you can play in combination with the Nintendo Switch. Also the Poke Ball Plus can be used in combination with Pokémon GO, instead of the GO Plus. This device features motion control and will light up in different colors, vibrates and plays sounds. One Pokémon can be put inside the Poke Ball Plus so you can spend time with your favorite Pokémon in the real world. This will reward you with the most diverse rewards when the Pokémon returns on your Nintendo Switch.
Pokémon Quest is available for free download on Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch as of today. In Pokémon Quest, you travel to the island Tumblecube where everything Pokémon is cube formed. Explore the island and search for treasures, fight with wild Pokémon, discover new areas and cook delicious food to attract new Pokémon. At the end of June, Pokémon Quest will be available for download on the App Store and the Google Play Store.
Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu! and Pokemon: Let’s Go Eevee! will release on 16 November 2018.
