Assassin’s Creed – A whole new world!

After the movie was released, the Assassin’s Creed franchise needed a new direction to take their universe in. Among the news regarding the new main series title, we also got announcements for new (comic)books and guides. The newly announced books will take fans through the youth of Bayek, the formative years of the Brotherhood, and will include artwork from old Egypt. Also announced, was an official strategy guide for the most hardcore fans.

The new novel will be released by Penguin Books, and will be written by Oliver Bowden in close collaboration with Ubisoft. In Assassin’s Creed Origins Desert Oath, we follow the youth of a new player character Bayek, as he follows his dad’s footsteps and searches his home town of Siwa to find the answers he needs. Your travels will lead you along the river Nile through conflict ridden lands, and need you to keep a level head as you puzzle through the riddles of the Medjay.

Around a decade ago, when Assassin’s Creed still only had one game, we got to made the acquaintance of the Brotherhood. And now, ten years later, we’ll be discovering some more about their secretive ways, and of the events surrounding these games. In a miniseries of four comics, we’ll be reading about new actors within the stories, and new places that we have never seen in the games.

The art of Assassin’s Creed Origins, is an art-book, published by Titan Books, and will take readers back to old Egypt, one of the most mysterious places in our history. In reading this book you will read about the myths and their backstories, enemies, story characters, and weapons. All illustrated with beautiful panorama’s and art pieces of in-game scenery and landscapes.
