Bring social (in)justice in Patron, a new upcoming medieval city/society builder game

Patron, an up-and-coming game by developers Overseer Games, is a survival city builder with a unique social dynamics system. Gather and produce resources, build your fledgling village into a prosperous city and navigate the intricate social tensions before they reach boiling point.

Besides constructing buildings, managing citizens needs and research options – all classic features present in building games today, Patron also introduces SOCIAL dimension: as your city grows, so does your population with all the good and bad it brings – class tensions, social in/justice, immigration, religious strife, protests and even civilian uprisings.

The Social Dynamic System decrees and enactment of multiple political rules, coupled with extensive research options, will allow players to steer all aspects of a newborn society in a specific direction.

Key features:

  • A survival city builder with a unique social dynamics system
  • Gather and produce resources
  • Establish sustainable production chains
  • Build your fledgling village into a prosperous city as you construct and upgrade buildings
  • Manage your people and steer your citizens towards needed professions
  • Balance social issues: Class strife, Immigration, Religion, Health, Safety, Loyalty…
  • Plan growth through an extensive Research Tree and unlock technology, policies, and upgrades
  • Plan production and overseas trade to support your economy through difficult times

Developer and publisher Overseer Games is aiming to release their big debut title Patron in Q3 of 2021. For now, you can wishlist the game on Steam and you can also check out some alpha gameplay in the video right above!
