New Final Fantasy XV editions and content available!

Square Enix Ltd. revealed two new Final Fantasy XV editions: The Final Fantasy XV Windows edition (Steam, Origin and Windows 10) and the Final Fantasy XV Royal edition (Xbox One and PlayStation 4). Both contain the base game, and a lot of new content – Season Pass content since launch included. You may watch the release trailer below!

New content includes an extended map of Insomnia City Ruins with new side quests and enemies like Cerberus and Omega, a fully controllable Royal Vessel ship to explore the world between Cape Caem and Atlissia, a new item to activate “Amigar Unleashed” – available when all royal weapons are found, a new first-person camera, an archive to reread all the lore and a ton of downloadable content. The Windows edition furthermore contains native 4K resolution support – even 8K is possible! There is also HDR-10 support, Tobii Eye-tracking integration a preview of Mod Support (more info on that is coming up) and AlienFX integration if you like those fancy light effects.

Apart from the two new editions, the Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades receives a free update. This contains a number of new quests of varying difficulty, a new outpost called Hidden Harbor, higher level caps, new characters, weapons and weapon modifications, new Hunt, Escort and Defense missions and the possibility to dismantle weapons. Always having more things to do than time to do them, I like spending several of those precious free hours playing games and rating them.
