Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Special Features Home Releases

During the last few months, you have probably noticed that the outside world isn’t really the same as it used to be. Sadly, this also had an impact on publishing companies, forcing them to release certain new movies on digital platforms, rather than on the shelves of your local store. The COVID-19 virus has once again flared up in certain parts of the world, but for the most part, publishers have once again started releasing DVDs and Blu-rays. We were lucky enough to revisit some of Sony Home Entertainment’s releases in order to discuss the extras on their physical copies.

Charlie’s Angels

Charlie’s Angels’ Blu-ray edition comes with a hefty amount of special features. We are used to this with Sony releases, and once again the publisher does not disappoint. While there are deleted scenes, a gag reel and a music clip for you to enjoy, there are also a lot of snippets about how the movie came to life. We thoroughly enjoyed the extras and they add some value to this physical release.

The Grudge

This reboot of the Grudge comes with several special extras. Sadly, even when buying the Blu-ray version, you’ll only get a bit of content on how the movie was created and a small feature about possible ‘Easter Eggs’ fans could have spotted about the previous movies. It’s basically some making-of content with a tiny little bonus. We could have gotten more in terms of specials, but then again, the movie didn’t really entertain us either.

Bad Boys For Life

The Bad Boys For Life Blu-ray comes with a lot of extra content. While most of it involves the creative process of this new instalment of the series, there are a few deleted scenes and bloopers to be watched as well. We also saw an audition and how the series actually came to be, thanks to some older footage. Overall, the extras will extend your Bad Boys experience.

Jumanji: The Next Level

Jumanji: The Next Level’s Blu-ray edition comes with more than an hour of special content. There is a very amusing gag reel, a making-of sequences and a few fun extra additions to the extras roster. You’ll see how the ‘younger’ cast had to learn from the veterans, a confession from the movie’s villain, and even how certain characters would behave in real life. Just like the movie, the special features are presented in a fun and amusing way, enticing you to keep watching all of them.
