Strictly Limited Games is bringing two Japanese exclusive visual novels to the public
Strictly Limited Games is well-known for their physical releases of unique games. While a lot of these games could be considered successful indie games, there are also a lot these days that people might have never even heard of. A good example of such a game is the latest addition: Akai Ito & Aoi Shiro HD for the Nintendo Switch. This collection consists of two visual novels that were previously only available in Japan on the PlayStation 2, so how many of you have heard of it?
Akai Ito is set in modern-day Japan, where the reader follows Kei, a girl who is trying to figure out who she is after inheriting an old Japanese mansion surrounded by intrigue and mystery. Aoi Shiro is an adventure in the modern-day as well as the mythical realm. This time, the player follows Shouko Osanai, a girl who serves as the head of the kendo club at Seijo Gakuin. After she rescues a girl, her life changes forever. The game has 56 endings total, comprising 36 bad endings, 14 normal endings, and 6 true endings.
You can pre-order the different versions of the games here. There’s the regular Limited Edition, which is just the physical version of the game, and there’s a Special Limited Edition which has the game with a reversible cover, a manual, a soundtrack with four discs, postcards, and a reversible poster. You get all this in a Special Edition box.
