Diablo IV – Use mystical powers in Season of Witchcraft
Blizzard Entertainment just announced the next season for Diablo IV, titled Season of Witchcraft. The new season will start on January 21st and brings various new oddities to the game. The main storyline is the theft of heads from the Tree of Whispers, which causes the Witches of Hawezar to come to you to help find the heads… and the thief. Throughout the new season, you get access to Witchcraft, an additional power you can use to complement your unique combat style. Witchcraft is divided into three schools so you are bound to find abilities that suit your needs. Among these new abilities, you will also find some that are holdovers from Diablo III.
Besides these new abilities, the season also introduces a new kind of end boss: the Headrotten. The stolen heads, desperate to become human again, have mutated into monstrosities. You encounter these through headhunt quests which reward you with the Occult Gems needed to unlock Witchcraft abilities. Lastly, Blizzard finally added the ability to save, and quickly swap between various builds. Using this armory you can save complete load-outs including equipment, paragon points, and ability points. Blizzard also added various Uniques and Legendaries to the Vessel of Hatred and even more drops, such as a Raven pet, to the Season Journey of the Battle Pass.
