Bethesda 2015 E3 Showcase

Bethesda 2015 E3 Showcase

It’s every gamer’s favorite time of the year, E3! Yesterday, Bethesda’s first E3 showcase took place, and you know what that means, Fallout 4! Wait, there’s more? Yes, lots more! Let’s have a look.

First, Bethesda allowed us a look at the new DOOM game, a legendary game in the history of PC gaming. They’re proud to announce that a new DOOM game will be coming, but does it look violent? Yes it does, very, very violent. The new DOOM will feature more crazy mutants, huge ass guns and intense first-person combat than ever before. Another really cool feature is that it will have multiplayer with both classic and new game modes. To top it all off, DOOM will go hand in hand with DOOM SnapMap, which allows people who don’t have any game design experience to make their own custom maps, entirely how they want it and as detailed as they want it. DOOM will be coming somewhere in spring 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Next up is BATTLECRY, a (free to play!) third-person action shooting game that seemed interesting enough to Bethesda that made them want to publish it. BATTLECRY features team-based combat, tactical warfare and a competitive multiplayer. During the beta, it will have 15 warriors, 3 factions and 5 classes, with even more being added at launch! Fight for dominance, customize your warrior, risk your life and limbs and battle it all out in great graphical detail. You can sign up for the beta right now, but an official release date is yet to be given. It will be available for PC only.

Another new title is Dishonored 2! The supernatural assassin will return in a new adventure. It takes place 15 years after the first game and places you in another story. Explore the world as Emily Kaldwin or Corvo Attano, with each one having their own unique set of abilities, weapons and gadgets. Choose your own playstyle whether it be assassination, stealth, mobility or brutal killing. Dishonored 2 will release in spring 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Speaking of Dishonored, the first game will make an unexpected return for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with the needed graphical enhancements of course! Dishonored Definitive Edition will also include all of the DLC that the base game has. It will release August 25th 2015 in North America and August 28th 2015 in Europe.

Now let’s talk about another (smaller) release! The Elder Scrolls Legends, which is a card game set in the The Elder Scrolls lore. No release date has been given and very little information has been sent out, so it is much likely still in early development. The Elder Scrolls Legends will release for PC and iOS.

(Almost) last but not least, what you’ve all been waiting for: Fallout 4! Fallout will return in a new adventure in Vault 111. Explore the Wasteland like never before in a world more dynamic than ever. Fallout 4 will feature hundreds of locations, characters and quests, faction warfare (or solo if you wish), complete character customization like never before, next-gen graphics, V.A.T.S. (of course) and the most advanced crafting system yet. There’s also a new pip boy, but wait: when you buy the collectors edition of Fallout 4, you’ll get the new pip boy with it. You can dock your phone in it, and of course, they made an app for it to make it all interactive. Fallout 4 will be coming out this year on the 10th of November.

To conclude everything, there’s even more Fallout news! Fallout Shelter, a mobile app (currently only iOS) has been launched yesterday evening. Fallout Shelter is a game where you can build and manage your own vault and create a bright future. Build the perfect vault, oversee your community, prosper, explore the Wasteland and protect your vault from rebels!
